Job Summary
POSITION PURPOSE
The Senior Colleague Relations Partner is an experienced and trusted partner who provides guidance and colleague relations subject matter expertise to Regional Health Ministry (RHM) leadership managers and colleagues in promoting and fostering of a fair positive and collaborative working collaboration with Regional Health Ministry (RHM) management HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and regional Colleague and Labor Relations Center of Expertise (COE) leadership contributes to the development implementation and management of colleague relations strategies philosophies processes and programs. Regularly interacts and consults with RHM management and regional Colleague and Labor Relations COE leadership to collectively manage resolve and trend colleague relations matters including planning and conducting high risk and complex investigations and responding to complex and sensitive internal and external party complaints. Adds value to the organization by providing expert colleague relations guidance and solutions with a focus on enabling the achievement of Trinity Healths Strategic Aims to realize a person-centered mission-focused colleague culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- In conjunction with the Regional Director/Manager Colleague Relations HR Business Partners(HRBPs)and theregionalColleague and LaborRelations COEleadership providesspecialized expertise and consultation in the planning definingandapplicationof colleague relations policies processes programs and initiatives within their Regional Health Ministry (RHM)/organization to monitor the impactand effectivenessof the Colleague and Labor Relations COE to promote and foster a fair positive and collaborative working environment.
- Providescolleaguerelations specificexpertise tocoach and counselRHMmanagementthrough the resolution of complex and high risk colleaguerelations matters including but not limited tocounselingand coachingcolleagueson performance and/or disciplinary issues investigating and responding toformalinternaland/or external sourced colleaguecomplaints handling and responding toformalcolleaguecomplaints through the problem resolution process andmanaging and resolvingother fitness for duty diversionand/or reasonable accommodation matters.
- Works collaboratively withregionaldirectorsHRBPs RHM managementandHRleadership toeffectively identifymanage and mitigateorganizational risk by ensuring HR compliance and consistency in the administration and delivery ofcolleaguerelationsservices; readily partners with key internal and external customers such asRisk ManagementLegal Services Integrity and Compliance and other state and localregulatory bodiesand organizations.
- Measures and monitors the impact of broad and over-arching colleaguerelations programs and initiatives within the RHM/organization by collecting actionable data and conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis; is able to effectively develop and communicate any necessary remediation plans to RHM/organization management HRBPs andregionalColleague and Labor Relations COE leadership.
- Manages andfacilitatesthe problem resolution process forcolleagues involving complex and sensitive colleaguerelations matters conducting investigations as needed documenting findings and outcomes and makingappropriateand objective recommendations to management for resolution; leads other colleague relations projects and assignments as needed.
- Objectively and expertly resolves high-risk and sensitive colleague relationsmatterswithin the Just Culture frameworkdeveloping and supportingstrategy development and completion of large complex investigations data collection and corroboration of facts and recommendations for resolutionwithin theirRHM/organization; ensures consistent application o policies and procedures.
- In partnership with key internal customers co-develops and manages protocols for monitoring reporting and addressing diversion and fitness for duty for colleaguesphysiciansand contract staff (including impairment for cause testing and physical capacity evaluation)whileensuringcomplianceand developing remediation plans as needed.
- Under the direction oftheRegional Director/Manager Colleague Relationsand in collaboration withRHM management and HR Business Partnersassistsinimplementingspecificresponse strategiesand tactics to addressorganizational wide colleague relations matterswhen necessary.
- Supports system andRHM managementduringtimes of Mergers DivestituresandAcquisitions (MD&A) activities as needed includingdeterminingthe impact of MD&Atransactionsanddocumented dealobjectivesand strategywith regard tocolleaguerelations policies programs and initiatives.
- When required and necessary conductsspecific colleague relations training such as Just Culture and other employment law focused trainings.
- Advocatesforfair and consistent workplace practicesin accordance withTrinity Healths mission Core Values and other applicable legal parameters.
- Maintains advancedknowledge of applicable FederalStateand local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and proceduresin order toensure adherence in a manner that reflects honestethicaland professional behavior.
- pay grade 13 range $77104.5598-$115656.8397 Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience qualifications education location licensure certification requirements and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess knowledge of state and federal laws regulations and requirements related to HR and colleague relationscolleague dispute resolution and fosteringa positive colleague workingenvironment as normally acquired through completion ofaBachelors degree in Human ResourcesManagement Business Administration or a related fieldwith five (5) or more years of related experience;or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Masters degree and priorhealth-careexperiencepreferred.
- Advancedknowledge ofemployment laws and their application in operating environmentsisrequired.
- Ability to respond to variable situations requiring analytical interpretiveevaluativeand constructive thinking abilities. Strong logical and deductive reasoning to effectively collect and synthesize data and information from disparate sources to make investigative findings and recommendations for remediation of issues.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to set and organizeownworkpriorities andadapt to them as they change be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.
- Must be able to travel to the variousTrinity Health sites as needed (up to 10% of the time).
