The HR Administrator will serve as the backbone of the human resources function handling daytoday HR operations supporting recruitment and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive employee experience while maintaining accurate HR records.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes including preparation of newhire paperwork and exit documentation.
- Maintain and audit employee personnel files ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with payroll coordination benefits enrollment and employee inquiries related to compensation and benefits.
- Post job openings screen resumes schedule interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Generate HR metrics and reports (e.g. turnover headcount attendance) for senior management review.
- Support the development and delivery of training sessions policy updates and employee engagement initiatives.
- Act as a first point of contact for employee relations issues escalating complex matters as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and company policies.
- 23 years of experience in an HR administrative or generalist role.
- Solid knowledge of HR best practices employment legislation and recordkeeping requirements.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Outlook Word).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Detailoriented problemsolver with a customerservice mindset.
- Experience in the construction or heavycivil industry.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and workers compensation processes.
- Exposure to recruitment coordination for skilled trades and professional staff.
- Certifications such as SHRMCP or PHR.
- Basic understanding of labor unions and collective bargaining agreements.
Annual Salary Range: $75000 $85000 (USD)
