HPA 8th GRADE DIGITAL LEARNING

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree from accredited university
• Valid Texas Teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject/level assigned

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Must have knowledge of subject assigned
• Must have general knowledge of curriculum and instruction.

EXPERIENCE:

• Prefer at least 1 year of student teaching or approved internship.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

• Create a foundation for success in middle school high school and future studies
• Career focus such as Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics; Business and Industry; Public Service; Arts and Humanities; and Multidisciplinary Studies.
• Introduces students to technology keyboarding engineering and math through engaging hands-on activities.
• Students build essential computer skills by practicing keyboarding exploring technology tools and digital literacy and developing problem-solving abilities through engineering challenges.
• Math concepts are reinforced through real-world applications helping students strengthen critical thinking creativity and collaboration skills while preparing for future learning and careers.
• Instruction provides content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills to further their education and succeed in current or emerging professions.
