Job Summary
The Department of Military Affairs (DMA) is seeking a Housing Management Assistant who will be responsible for the daily coordination administration and execution of lodging operations for the Bachelor Officer Quarters (BOQ) and the RV Park at Fort Harrison. This role serves as the primary point of contact for Soldiers civilians and eligible guests requiring temporary quarters ensuring optimal space utilization accurate financial accounting and exceptional guest services in support of the Montana Army National Guard mission.
Duties:
- Processes requests and makes reservations for temporary quarters and the RV Park. Reviews all applications for accuracy and completeness of data.
- Provides guests with detailed confirmation information directions to Fort Harrison and specific instructions for check-in locations.
- Responsible for checking guests in and out utilizing current reservation software. Verifies guest identification and eligibility to utilize Fort Harrison Lodging facilities and the RV Park.
- Assists in the assignment of housing and administrative space. Counsels the Garrison Command Billeting Officer regarding the availability type size and location of quarters.
- Accepts and processes payments for the use of billeting and the RV Park. Provides a weekly accounting report to the Garrison Command Billeting Officer detailing accounts receivable and close-out balance reports.
- May occasionally perform some housekeeping duties when lapse in housekeeping coverage occurs.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2 years relevant experience
Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills especially customer service
Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping
