Job Description
ECU Department of Information Technology and Computing Services ( ITCS ) is currently seeking several Computer Support Student Workers on The Black Pod. Student Workstation Support Student Workers provide front-line technical assistance to ECU students faculty and staff. This role supports the universitys computing environment by helping resolve hardware software and account-related issues assisting with device setup and supporting IT operations within the Black Pod support area. Key Responsibilities Provide end-user technical support for Windows and macOS devices including troubleshooting login issues software errors and connectivity problems. Assist with computer imaging and reimaging including upgrades (e.g. Windows 10 Windows 11). Respond to support tickets walk ups and scheduled appointments. Document work performed in ECUs IT service management system Team Dynamix. Perform basic hardware tasks such as replacing peripherals checking cables and preparing equipment for deployment. Provide customer service by communicating clearly professionally and patiently with users. Assist ITCS staff with special projects inventory and equipment moves as needed. Work Environment On campus ITCS support areas including labs offices and the Black Pod support zone. Collaborative work with full time IT staff and other student technicians.
