Hostler 10-hr

The Yard Hostler shuttles equipment within the Distribution Center premises as needed. Working with another hostler coordinate moves based on priorities directed by dispatch shipping and receiving supervisors. Maintains a neat and orderly yard anticipates trailer needs based on specific shifts.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Safely operate yard tractor in professional manner

• Handle fast paced work environment

• Ability to drive in snowy or slippery conditions as needed.

• Work in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures extreme heat or cold and/or wet damp or drafty conditions.

• Work varying hours of the day as required. (Days nights weekends and holidays)

• Fuel yard tractor and refrigerated trailers.

• Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations.

• Record report and maintain trailer temperatures.

• Maintain working trailer inventory anticipate shift needs.

• Work closely with dispatch shipping receiving clean out building and security to ensure all trailer needs are met.

• Be able to prioritize trailer requests.

• Have a strong commitment to safety.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age.

• Must have a valid drivers license.

• Must successfully complete Albertsons pre-employment background and drug screening.

• Over the road driving experience a plus.
