Position Summary

The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a warm welcoming first impression for members and guests. This role manages reservations seating flow and guest communication to ensure an organized and elevated dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests promptly with a friendly professional demeanor
• Manage reservations and seating using reservation systems (e.g. ForeTees OpenTable)
• Maintain accurate wait times and communicate delays clearly
• Escort guests to tables and present menus when appropriate
• Coordinate table rotation and seating flow with servers and management
• Answer phone calls assist with inquiries and take reservations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
• Assist with special events large parties and member functions
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Basic knowledge of reservation systems (or willingness to learn)
• Availability to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs (menus small supplies)

• Fast-paced hospitality setting
• Frequent interaction with members guests and staff
• High standards of service and professionalism expected
