Ecumen Hospice-St Cloud is hiring a Music Therapist. Ecumen Hospice-St Cloud provides in-home and community-based services in the St. Cloud & Litchfield Minnesota area. The Ecumen Hospice mission is to provide care that exceeds the expectations of those that find themselves in the later stages of life by providing a level of comfort and quality of life that makes each person feel honored and supported as their life continues to have significance.
The Music Therapist is responsible for providing music therapy under the direction of the Clinical Director. The Music Therapist manages their own caseload schedule and interventions utilizing their expertise to address the patients unique plan of care.

Music Therapy Program: Work as part of an experienced collaborative music therapy team across Ecumens five hospice branches. We provide a variety of instruments and the innovative technology for Amplified CardioPulmonary Recordings. Ecumen encourages creativity and continued growth for you as an MT-BC professional. Opportunity Details:
- Schedule: 64hrs bi-weekly - Full-Time Shifts on weekdays between 8am-4:30pm - Every other Thursday required. No Weekends or Holidays!
- Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $28.00 - $32.00 per hour.
- Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience qualifications and when applicable certifications licenses and education.

- Assesses patients for appropriate medical indication for service and performs assessment to determine effectiveness of therapy.
- Directs and assists patients through music therapy interventions to assist with alleviating symptoms of anxiety depression isolation agitation restlessness sleeplessness pain tension relaxation and comfort.
- Provides ongoing education to the clinical team of appropriateness and/or contraindications for treatment.
- Maintains necessary records e.g. clinical notes charting coordination notes which will be incorporated into the patients clinical record within 24 hours of session and modified as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Driving Requirements: Local Travel and Drivers License Required
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Music Therapy from an accredited music therapy program
- Current MT BC certification from Certification Board for Music Therapists
- Valid Drivers License proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
- Ability to follow all safety rules regulations policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy HIPAA Residents Bill of Rights Universal Precaution AWAIR OSHA Right to know SDS ADA HUD Policy and Procedures Fair Housing laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of clinical music therapy experience in home health or hospice or senior care
