Horizontal Band Saw Operator

Job Title: Saw Operator / Material CutterWe are looking for a dependable Saw Operator / Material Cutter to support ourweld and CNC departments. This person will be responsible for cutting variousmaterials to size including steel bar aluminum bar threaded rod tube andother raw material used in ideal candidate needs to be able to accurately read a tape measure followwritten and verbal instructions and work safely around saws and materialhandling equipment. This role is important because the welders and CNCmachinists rely on the cut material being correct before they can start Responsibilities: Cut steel aluminum threaded rod bar stock tube and other materials torequired lengths. Read and understand tape measure measurements including fractions. Follow cut lists work orders drawings and verbal instructions. Measure material before and after cutting to verify accuracy. Keep material organized by job part number or department. Label cut material when required. Move stage and sort material for the weld and CNC departments. Check material type and size before cutting. Maintain a clean and safe saw area. Report material shortages damaged material or mistakes to asupervisor. Follow company safety procedures while operating saws and Skills: Must be able to read a tape measure accurately. Must be able to follow directions and pay attention to detail. Basic understanding of fractions is required. Ability to lift and move material safely. Dependable attendance and good work ethic. Ability to work with steel aluminum and other metal materials. Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus but not required. Previous saw shop welding fabrication or manufacturing experience ispreferred but not Requirements: Ability to stand for most of the shift. Ability to lift carry and move material as needed. Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment. Able to work safely around saws sharp metal edges and heavy :This is a hands-on shop position for someone who is reliable detail-orientedand comfortable working with metal.
