Job Summary

Are you looking for a flexible low-commitment opportunity to earn extra income Our home health agency is seeking a reliable and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to conduct 1 to 2 visits per week (approximately 2 hours total per week) covering Athens-Clarke County and DeKalb County GA.

This is an ideal role for an LPN seeking highly flexible supplemental part-time hours with autonomous scheduling.

Job Details

  • Pay Rate: $32.00 $34.00 per hour

  • $0.50/mile Mileage reimbursement

  • Job Type: Part-Time / PRN

  • Schedule: Extremely flexible (choose your own hours/days for visits)

  • Weekly Commitment: Approx. 2 hours per week (12 visits)

  • Service Area: Athens (Clarke County) & DeKalb County GA (Must be willing to travel between these areas as needed)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled home health visits (typically 12 visits per week).

  • Perform supportive supervisory quality assurance and reassessment visits (under the direction and delegation of the Registered Nurse).

  • Provide skilled nursing care and routine home care LPN visits as required by the patients plan of care (e.g. wound care medication reconciliation vital signs monitoring).

  • Document clinical findings visit notes and patient progress accurately and timely in compliance with agency and state regulations.

  • Coordinate closely with the clinical supervisor (RN) regarding any changes in patient status.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • License: Active unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Georgia (or multi-state Compact license).

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience (prior home health private duty or community health experience is highly preferred).

  • Travel: Reliable transportation valid Georgia drivers license and active auto insurance (required to travel to patient homes in Athens/Clarke and DeKalb counties).

  • Skills: Strong clinical judgment excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Compliance: Ability to pass a background check drug screen and provide up-to-date TB screening results.
