Job Summary

Location: Stratford CT

Schedule: Part-Time (1 Day per Week)

Pay Rate: competitive hourly rate based on experience

Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a flexible low-stress side opportunity to share your clinical knowledge We are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our Home Health Aide (HHA) training classes one day per week in Stratford CT.

This position is ideal for an RN looking to earn extra income step back from direct bedside care or transition into clinical education without a full-time commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct classroom instruction and practical skills training for HHA candidates according to Connecticut state standards.

  • Demonstrate and evaluate essential patient care techniques (vital signs personal care assistance mobility/transfers and patient safety).

  • Administer skills competency evaluations and assess student performance.

  • Maintain accurate attendance records training logs and student documentation.

  • Foster a supportive engaging learning environment for incoming caregivers.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Active unencumbered Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years of clinical nursing experience (experience in home healthcare adult day care or long-term care strongly preferred).

  • Prior teaching clinical preceptor or training experience is a plus but we welcome RNs with strong communication skills looking to teach.

  • Punctual reliable and able to commit to standard classroom hours on the designated training day.

Schedule & Hours

  • Time Commitment: 1 day per week (approx. 6 to 8 hours depending on class schedule).

  • Work Location: In-person at our Stratford CT facility.
