JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role of a caregiver at Golden Care is to providehigh-quality non-medical care and support services to clients deliveringcare with professionalism empathy compassionkindness and in a respectful manner. Some caregiver duties include but not limited to;
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Providing clients with Alzheimers/Dementia or related behaviors (i.e. wandering paranoia) a safe and secure environment by monitoring their health and safety as it is a priority.
- Assist clients with all their ADLs (Activates of Daily Living) in accordance with individualized care plans (i.e. personal hygiene assistanceoral care grooming toiletingincontinence care bathing dressing etc.)
- Light housekeeping laundry and organizing to maintain a clean-living environment.
- Meal preparation and assist with feeding if needed.
- Transferring & Ambulationprovide safety stability and support while client ismobile and during transfers.
- Transportation (i.e. appointments grocery shopping errands outings etc.)
REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
- MUST have at least 3 months of professional experienceworking as a caregiver;
- MUST be or willing to register as a California Home Care Aide (HCA);
- MUST be able to clear a criminal background check by the DOJ/FBI;
- MUST have a current Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test (or willingness to complete one);
- MUST obtain a valid Drivers License and a reliable vehicle;
- MUST be 18 years of age or older;
- MUST be able to provide 2 forms of ID such as a Drivers license social security Passport and or Birth certificate;
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow clients provided plan of care safety precautions and procedures.
- Monitor observe and report suspected concerns or change of clients condition or health status to a supervisor or the appropriate parties immediately.
- Communicate effectively and respond to all forms of communication from the office in a timely manner.
SKILLS NEEDED:
- MUSTbe reliable dependable and be on-time.
- MUST dress professionally.
- MUST be kind empathetic compassionate respectful have a positive attitude and great work ethics.
- MUST have a passion and the desire to help others improve their quality of lifewhile maintaining clients self-respect dignity safety and confidentiality.
- MUST be comfortable using a smartphone for basic communication and care documentation.
