Home Care Aides do not require prior experience or certifications only the willingness and ability to help others in their daily lives with the help of a written care plan.

Arcadia offers a variety of training to our Home Care Aides via in-person phone or video. The different training methods allow us to provide our caregivers with the most meaningful and beneficial training possible.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with personal care (bathing dressing grooming toileting)
• Home support (light housekeeping vacuuming dusting washing dishes)
• Light meal prep and serving meals
• Accompanying the consumer to appointments when approved
• Grocery shopping or other errands when approved
• Providing companionship and stimulation for the consumer (reading walks)

Qualifications:

• Must complete the agencys employment process
• Criminal background check
• Reliable transportation
• Reliable self-motivated and well-organized
• Must exhibit maturity responsible behavior & maintain consumer confidentiality
• Must be able to follow directions and work as a team
• 3 references (2 professional 1 personal)
