JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role of a caregiver at Golden Care is to providehigh-quality non-medical care and support services to clients deliveringcare with professionalism empathy compassionkindness and in a respectful manner. Some caregiver duties include but not limited to;
- Providecompanionship and emotional support to clients.
- Providing clients withAlzheimers/Dementiaorrelatedbehaviors (i.e. wandering paranoia)a safeand secure environmentbymonitoringtheirhealthandsafety as itis a priority.
- Assistclientswithall theirADLs(Activatesof DailyLiving)inaccordance withindividualized care plans(i.e.personal hygieneassistanceoral care grooming toiletingincontinencecarebathingdressing etc.)
- Light housekeeping laundry and organizingtomaintaina clean-living environment.
- Mealpreparation andassistwith feeding if needed.
- Transferring & Ambulationprovidesafetystabilityandsupportwhileclientismobileandduringtransfers.
- Transportation (i.e. appointments grocery shopping errandsoutingsetc.)
REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
- MUST have at least 3 months of professional experience working as a caregiver;
- MUST be or willingto register as a California Home Care Aide (HCA);
- MUST be able to clear a criminal background check by theDOJ/FBI;
- MUST haveacurrentNegative Tuberculosis (TB) test(or willingness to complete one);
- MUST obtaina validDrivers Licenseand a reliable vehicle;
- MUST be 18 years of age or older;
- MUST be able to provide 2 forms of ID such as a Drivers license socialsecurity Passport and or Birth certificate;
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Followclientsprovided plan of care safetyprecautionsand procedures.
- Monitorobserveandreportsuspectedconcerns orchange of clients conditionor healthstatusto a supervisoror theappropriate partiesimmediately.
- Communicate effectively andrespond to all forms of communication from the officein a timely manner.
SKILLS NEEDED:
- MUST be reliabledependableand beon-time.
- MUST dress professionally.
- MUST be kind empathetic compassionaterespectfulhave a positive attitudeandgreat workethics.
- MUST have apassionandthedesireto helpothersimprove theirquality of lifewhilemaintainingclients self-respect dignity safety and confidentiality.
- MUST be comfortable using a smartphone for basic communication and caredocumentation.
