EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree required.
• Experience working with students required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to plan and implement lessons.
• Demonstrated ability to work professionally and discretely with extremely confidential information.
• Excellent analytical problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent customer service communication (both written and verbal) and cross group collaboration skills required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Develops selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practices.
• Supervises students in a variety of settings including the home environment.
• Communicates and interacts with students staff parents and the community as necessary.
• Ensures all materials are read and prepared for instruction.
• Monitors and evaluates student outcomes in various formats as requested but not limited to grade percentages.
• Provides documentation for data collection as requested.
• Creates a learning environment conducive to the intellectual physical social and emotional development of children.
• Represents the best interests of Charles County Public Schools during communication with students and parents.
• Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment materials and facilities.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Environmental Factors & Physical Requirements

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand walk stoop kneel crouch and manipulate (lift carry move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination armhandand finger dexterity including ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employeefrequentlyis required tosit reach with hands and armstalkand hear.
