Performs essential duties in the histology laboratory according to accepted frozen section processing for Mohs micrographic surgery - Cuts tissue in ultra thin sections modifying
technique based on tissue routine special and Immunohistochemical staining tissue specimens for routine and special processing selects correct protocol based on physician orders.
One year laboratory experience preferred (Student experience acceptable.)
Associates degree and completion of an accredited histology technician or other applicable training program is preferred. Training and experience in lieu of education is acceptable.
ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) Registry preferred.
