Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Histology Tech for a 27-week assignment at a leading healthcare facility in New York New York. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented laboratory professional with strong technical skills and experience working independently in a surgical pathology environment.

Shift Details:

• Day Shift Monday through Friday
• Schedule: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform histology procedures and support surgical pathology operations
• Prepare process embed section and stain tissue specimens
• Maintain accuracy and quality control standards within the laboratory
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Ensure proper specimen handling and documentation
• Work independently while managing daily workflow efficiently
• Communicate effectively with pathology and laboratory teams

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Science and completion of an accredited Histology program required
  OR
  Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required
  OR
  Certified Histology Technician or Clinical Lab Technician certification from NYS Education Department required
• Excellent technical laboratory skills required
• Strong communication and organizational skills required
• Ability to work independently and manage assignments effectively
• Computer literacy preferred
