POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for Laboratory immunohistochemistry (IHC) and histochemistry (special stain) in-situ hybridization (ISH) and immunofluorescence testing platforms including assigned instruments slide preparation quality control and Lab Information Systems (LIS/IT) interfaces. Serves as a system wide resource with advanced technical knowledge and skills. Performs routine and complex analytical procedures in these areas; fulfills role as HTL III.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree with a combination of 30 semester hours in biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both) which must be obtained within or in addition to the baccalaureate degree.
• Knowledge of IHC Special Staining ISH and related skills.
• 5 years of Histology Laboratory experience including IHC and special staining.
• ASCP certification as an HTL.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Subject matter expertise in IHC and special staining testing platforms.
• Leadership experience.
