HIM Specialist Full Time (40 hoursweek)

Health Information Specialist is primarily responsible for the maintenance auditing disclosure and release of the medical record in both paper and electronic format including but not limited to: scanning capturing and uploading documents; analyzing the chart for accuracy and completeness; and reconciling and destruction of paper charts and records.

Qualifications :

What is required...

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional training/education in a healthcare discipline OR prior experience in a health information management department with an electronic health record

What is preferred...

• Successful completion of a medical terminology course

Additional Information :

Wage:  Wage range currently starts at $21.83/hour and goes up to $33.08/hour. Actual wage will be based on years of applicable experience.  

FTE:  1.0 (40 hours/week)
