We are expanding our High Voltage Engineering team to support the development of next-generation AI and high-performance computing data centers across North is an opportunity to join a highly experienced engineering team responsible for the completetechnical design of utility interconnection substations and transmission switchyards that deliverhundreds of megawatts of reliable power to mission-critical data center will play a key role in designing high-voltage infrastructure from concept throughcommissioning working on projects ranging from 34.5 kV distribution substations to 345 kVtransmission switchyards.

Responsibilities

• Develop the electrical and physical design of high-voltage substations and switchyards(34.5 kV345 kV)
• Develop one-line diagrams protection philosophies grounding systems station layouts and equipment specifications

If applicable prepare engineering calculations including:

• Short-circuit studies
• Grounding analysis
• Lightning protection
• Cable sizing
• AC/DC station service

If applicable prepare design documents including:

• Station General Arrangements
• Elevations and sectional views
• Grounding and conduit details
• Foundation and steel details
• Control building arrangements and details

Specify and coordinate major equipment including:

• Power transformers
• Gas circuit breakers
• Disconnect switches
• Instrument transformers
• Protection and control systems
• Coordinate with utilities EPC contractors civil structural transmission line and protection engineers
• Review vendor drawings and provide technical guidance throughout procurement and construction
• Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) commissioning and energization activities

About You

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• 5 years of experience in high-voltage substation engineering
• Strong experience designing substations from 34.5 kV through 345 kV
• Experience with utility interconnections and transmission systems
• Knowledge of IEEE ANSI NESC and applicable utility standards
• Experience with grounding design protection coordination and relay applications
• PE license preferred (or ability to obtain)
• Occasional travel to job site is required

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

• AI or hyperscale data centers
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Transmission switchyards
• Substation electrical configurations
• Gas-insulated or air-insulated substations
• ETAP CDEGS ASPEN or SKM
• AutoCAD and Bluebeam
