Job Summary: Reporting to the Chief Schools Officer the High School Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of the school responsible for ensuring high levels of student achievement staff effectiveness and organizational excellence. The Principal provides leadership in curriculum instruction assessment professional learning school culture student support services and family engagement while overseeing daily operations compliance budgeting and personnel management. Through strategic planning data-driven decision-making and collaboration with students staff families and community stakeholders the Principal fosters a safe inclusive and academically rigorous learning environment that prepares all students for success in college career and life.

What You Will Do

Instructional Leadership and Coaching

• Plan develop and provide leadership for instructional programs that prepare students for success in college career and life.
• Lead curriculum instruction and assessment initiatives in collaboration with teachers the school leadership team and organizational leadership.
• Provide timely meaningful and growth-oriented feedback to strengthen instructional practice across all content areas.
• Design facilitate and evaluate professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.

Data Analysis School Improvement & Accountability

• Collect analyze and communicate data to drive student achievement and inform schoolwide decision-making including WASC Accreditation college and career readiness master scheduling cross-curricular articulation student access to coursework and social-emotional supports.
• Develop and manage a master schedule that ensures equitable access to rigorous coursework A-G requirements college and career readiness pathways acceleration opportunities interventions Advanced Placement courses English Language Development and other instructional programs.
• Develop implement monitor and evaluate school improvement plans and initiatives including SPSA LCAP WASC EL Master Plan and other accountability measures.
• Oversee annual LAUSD Oversight Visits WASC Accreditation activities and charter renewal processes.

Personal Leadership & Evaluation

• Plan organize conduct and maintain evaluation processes for certificated and classified staff to ensure organizational goals and performance expectations are met.
• Maintain a commitment to continuous professional growth for self and others.
• Foster positive employee relations and maintain high staff morale throughout the school community.
• Assist in resolving personnel matters and employee concerns including participation in formal proceedings when necessary.

School Culture Student Support & Safety

• Assume responsibility for school culture student discipline campus supervision safety and security.
• Lead and oversee the coordination and implementation of academic and behavioral intervention programs for students.
• Engage students and families through individual meetings group sessions parent conferences and community forums to support student success.

Family & Community Engagement

• Collaborate with faculty staff parents and school committees including School Site Council and ELAC/DELAC to assess educational needs and develop plans that support a 21st-century learning environment.
• Establish and maintain strong community partnerships that support and communicate the schools educational goals to families community organizations and stakeholders.

Compliance Operations & Fiscal Management

• Coordinate review and submit required plans reports and compliance documentation including LEA Plan CALPADS CBEDS SARC LCAP Title I Parent Involvement Policy Charter Petition LAUSD Annual Oversight Visit materials and other required reports.
• Plan develop and implement budgetary procedures and expenditure controls to support school priorities.
• Prepare and present management reports related to school operations educational programs and organizational effectiveness.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:

• California Single Subject credential w/English Learner Authorization (required)
• California Administrative Services Credential or demonstrate enrollment in administrative preparation program (required)
• Spanish Bilingual (preferred)
• At least three years of classroom teaching experience (five or more years preferred)
• Minimum of 1-2 years site administrator or equivalent experience (preferred)
• Work experience at a wide range of grade levels spanning middle and high school (preferred)
• Experience developing and/or facilitating professional development for other educators (preferred)
• Experience in a leadership capacity i.e. department chairperson grade level lead teacher (preferred)
