Summary El Paso Gridley High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math Teacher to join our educational team for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student success possess a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and employ innovative teaching strategies to engage and inspire students. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic growth and development of high school students.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum goals.
Teach a variety of math courses which may include Algebra Geometry and Calculus adapting instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Utilize a range of instructional techniques and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
Assess and evaluate student progress through regular quizzes tests and assignments providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect collaboration and critical thinking.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and participate in professional development opportunities.
Communicate effectively with students parents and staff regarding academic performance and behavioral concerns.
Participate in school events meetings and committees to contribute to the overall success of the school community.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance grades and other required documentation.
Stay current with educational trends and best practices in mathematics education.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for high school level (or in the process of obtaining certification)
Strong knowledge of high school mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students parents and colleagues.
Proven ability to differentiate instruction and accommodate diverse learning styles.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Experience in teaching high school mathematics is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance instruction.
