Summary
El Paso Gridley High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math Teacher to join our educational team for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student success possess a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and employ innovative teaching strategies to engage and inspire students. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic growth and development of high school students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum goals.
- Teach a variety of math courses which may include Algebra Geometry and Calculus adapting instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Utilize a range of instructional techniques and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular quizzes tests and assignments providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect collaboration and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with students parents and staff regarding academic performance and behavioral concerns.
- Participate in school events meetings and committees to contribute to the overall success of the school community.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance grades and other required documentation.
- Stay current with educational trends and best practices in mathematics education.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for high school level (or in the process of obtaining certification)
- Strong knowledge of high school mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students parents and colleagues.
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction and accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Experience in teaching high school mathematics is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance instruction.
