High School Head Coach -Cheer

North Marion School District is seeking a positive and student-centeredHead Coach for Cheerto lead and support our high school athletic program. Coaches play an important role in helping student-athletes grow both on and off the field through skill development teamwork sportsmanship leadership and character.

Successful candidates will build positive relationships with students families staff and the community while creating a safe inclusive and competitive athletic environment aligned with District and OSAA expectations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the high schoolCheer program
• Teach sport-specific skills strategies teamwork and sportsmanship
• Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes
• Promote a safe inclusive and respectful team culture
• Communicate effectively with students families staff and administration
• Support student-athlete growth accountability and academic success
• Comply with all North Marion School District and OSAA rules policies and expectations
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Required Qualifications:

• NFHS/ASEP certification required
• Completion of all required OSAA and District trainings prior to season start
• Successful background and criminal history clearancepriorto interaction with students
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students families staff and community members
• Demonstrated reliability professionalism and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience preferred
• Bilingual Spanish skills preferred
