High School ELT Club Instructor

2026-2027 School Year

• Valid Massachusetts Professional License in the respective field of study (Speech-Language Pathology Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy) is preferred..

• Educational Requirement: Associates Degree preferred or currently in pursuit of one.
• Professional Experience: One (1) year of experience working with children and families from diverse cultural socioeconomic backgrounds and abilities. Demonstrated ability to work with students with special educational and/or social-emotional needs.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of computer use and appropriate applications including Google Suite (Google Workspace).
• Language Proficiency: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is strongly encouraged.

1. Instructional Leadership & Coaching: Strong collaborative teaching coaching and leadership skills to support student programming and guide educational staff in a team setting.
2. Curriculum Integration: Deep knowledge of current research educational theory and specialized content areas to support effective clinical and curriculum development and implementation.
3. Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to define academic or operational problems collect relevant data establish facts and draw valid conclusions to recommend appropriate courses of action.
4. Collaborative Planning: Ability to consistently collaborate with colleagues through shared planning and informal conversation to analyze student performance and development.
5. Social-Emotional Support: Skill in supporting the creation of appropriate and effective academic behavioral and social-emotional learning experiences for students.
6. Communication & Presentation: Proficiency in communicating clearly andconciselyboth orally and in writingand effectively presenting information to staff parents and the general public.
7. Organization & Multi-Tasking: Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills to successfully balance the demands of a multi-tasking proactive and solution-focused position.
8. Cultural Proficiency: Demonstrated cultural proficiency and competence in working with students and families of diverse backgrounds with diverse needs in an equitable and inclusive manner.

I. Curriculum & Program Facilitation

• Creates and facilitates the instructional curriculum for assigned clubs.

• Collaborates with the Program Lead and ELT Directors to develop high-quality after-school programming.

II. Student Safety Supervision & Operations

• Assumes and maintains responsibility for the safety supervision behavior and overall well-being of all students in assigned clubs.

• Retrieves students from arrival spaces guides them to club spaces and maintains daily student attendance records.

• Supervises student dismissal ensuring students safely transition to their assigned bus parent/guardian pickup or designated walking group.

III. Student Culture & Professional Responsibilities

• Promotes an anti-bias student-centered learning environment.

• Inspires students to set and achieve ambitious academic and personal goals holding students to consistently high expectations and reinforcing a culture of achievement.

• Supports other team members in ensuring a safe productive and efficient program for staff and students.

• Attends quarterly meetings and quarterly professional development.

1. Mobility Navigation & Travel:Must move about and traverse throughout the school building and grounds; requires the ability to navigate effectively throughout classrooms cafeterias and playgrounds for supervision and instruction.

2. Stationary Tasks:Often remains in a stationary position for considerable periods of time for instructional delivery administrative tasks and meetings.

3. Sensory Requirements:Must be able to see and hear continuously to ensure student safety monitor classroom operations and provide instruction in active school environments.

4. Communication:Must communicate effectively and clearly with students parents and district personnel in person via email and on the telephone or video conference.

5. Manual Dexterity & Technology:Frequent use of hands to finger handle or feel. Must be able to operate a computer input data and utilize instructional technology and office productivity machinery continuously throughout the day.

6. General Physical Strength:Ability to lift move and position classroom materials and equipment (up to 30 lbs) such as books supplies and bulk student devices.

7. Working Environment:Must be able to adapt to dynamic higher-noise school environments during classroom instruction recess and observations.

8. Interaction & Focus:Must interact routinely with diverse stakeholders meet multiple high-level demands simultaneously and maintain focus on student needs amid frequent interruptions.

9. School Environment Exposure:Ability to navigate and function effectively within diverse school settings including classrooms cafeterias and playgrounds which involve varying noise levels and high-activity environments.

10. Behavioral De-escalation & Resilience:Capacity to remain calm and professional when exposed to student behavioral challenges or high-stakes emotional situations; ability to model and apply de-escalation techniques as needed.

• Program Lead and Assistant Director/Director of Expanded Learning Time.
• The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Framingham Teacher Association (Unit A) Contract.

• This position is classified as Exempt (Professional).

• Covered underFramingham Teachers Association (Unit A) Contract.
• Program Schedule & Duration: There are three (3) club sessions during the school year running from October 5 2026 to June 2 2027. Each session is ten (10) weeks.
• Work Schedule: ELT-funded clubs run 1 to 3 times per week (MondayWednesday) based on instructor availability. The daily schedule is 3:004:30 PM (may vary depending on school dismissal and bus arrival times; a full calendar will be provided).
• Enrollment Requirements: Instructors must be willing to instruct up to a maximum of twenty (20) students per club. A minimum of eight (8) students is required for a club to run.
• Stipend & Assignment Notice: Clubs must run all three sessions for the instructor to receive the complete stipend. Framingham Public Schools reserves the right to shorten or lengthen the assignment time based upon the needs of the District.
