A public charter school in Dearborn is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Computer Science Teacher to join its team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and education with a strong ability to engage students in meaningful hands-on learning.
Responsibilities Include:

Teaching computer science courses such as introductory programming web development and AP Computer Science Principles
Developing and delivering engaging standards-aligned lesson plans
Incorporating project-based learning and real-world applications of technology
Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
Creating a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking problem-solving and collaboration
Collaborating with fellow teachers on cross-curricular STEM initiatives
Supporting student involvement in technology clubs competitions or extracurricular activities

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Education or a related field
Valid Michigan teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain) with a Computer Science endorsement
Experience teaching or working with high school students in a classroom setting
Familiarity with programming languages (Python Java JavaScript etc.) a programming background is preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
