This is an exciting opportunity to use your experiencesupportingtheRIPTIDE environment.TheHighPerformanceComputing (HPC) Systems Administrator willleveragetechnicalexpertiseto collaborate with theexistingHPC teamarchitects and engineers in supporting the computational needs ofthe Defense Sector. Reporting to theIT Security Engineering Manager the Systems Administrator willensurethat theHPC cluster ismaintainedat operational levelsandsupport system users.Primary responsibilities include system administrationconfigurationmonitoring troubleshooting software maintenance installationsSLURM managementand job scheduling system fortheLinux clustersand optimization of advanced computing systems and related infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
Deploy administer andmonitorLinux-based HPC clusters and storagesystems.
Installmaintain and upgrade software libraries and licensedapplications.
Troubleshoot and resolve system hardware and application issues across HPC
environments.
Develop andmaintainscripts for system administration monitoring reporting and
data pipeline optimization.
Provide technical support tosystem users;assistwith project executionbenchmarking and resource planning.
Research deploy andoptimizeresource management and scheduling systems.
Evaluate and manage a helpdesk ticketing system; ensuretimelyresolution of user-submitted issues.
Implement and manage HPC security infrastructure; ensure compliance withdatahandling policies and best practices.
Create andmaintaintechnical documentation and user guides.
Consultsystem usersto assess computational needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have abachelors degree in computer science or a related STEM field combined with 3-5 years of dedicated HPC or large-scale Linux system administration experience.
Advanced knowledge of SLURM Workload Manager configurations including accounting resource limits fair-share scheduling and node state management.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like ansible.
Proficiencyin scripting languages such as Bash Python or Perl for system administration and automation.
Strong troubleshooting skills acrosssystems hardware network and application layers.
Familiarity with software installation configuration and maintenance.
Knowledge of securitybestpractices including the handling ofprotecteddata.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Red Hat Certified System Administratorand/or Engineer Certification.
Experience in integrating HPC resources.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $107900.00 - $195050.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
