The Registered Nurse in the Flex Pool role provides skilled nursing care across various medical and surgical units including Medical Laulima (Surgical Acute) and Cardiovascular units. The nurse is responsible for patient assessments medication administration treatment planning and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. This role requires flexibility to float between units and deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and an active Hawaii RN license are required.
Responsibilities:
Required Skills & Certifications:
Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Hawaii by start of assignment.
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (up to 10 years preferred).
BLS certification.
Experience with Meditech EMR and related clinical equipment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
ACLS certification.
PALS Procedural Sedation TNCC and ENPC certifications.
Special Considerations:
Must have Hawaii RN license prior to start; no exceptions for medical or religious exemptions regarding immunity documentation.
Floating required between Medical Laulima and Cardiovascular units.
Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) required.
Nurse to patient ratios: Medical unit 1:6 days/eves and 1:8 nights; Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4.
Scheduling:
12-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15.
Scheduled 36 hours per week following orientation.
No guaranteed hours; schedule may vary based on unit needs.
