Heavy Equipment Mechanic Traveling

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Mining Equipment)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of mining mobile equipment. This role requires strong diagnostic skills mechanical expertise and the ability to work in a fast-paced safety-focused environment. Candidates must be comfortable working extended 12-hour shifts and rotating between day and night schedules if needed.

• Perform routine maintenance diagnostics and repairs on heavy mining equipment including:
  • Excavators
  • Dozers
  • Haul trucks (40-ton to 100-ton)
  • Water trucks
  • Motor graders
• Troubleshoot mechanical hydraulic and electrical issues efficiently
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and servicing
• Read and interpret technical manuals schematics and diagnostic codes
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Work collaboratively with operators and other maintenance personnel
• Adhere to all company safety policies and MSHA regulations

• 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (mining or construction)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines hydraulics and electrical systems
• Experience working on large haul trucks and earthmoving equipment preferred
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment with minimal supervision
• Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts including nights weekends and overtime as needed
• Valid drivers license required
