This is a Union position so the expected pay range is based on Union scale for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 (MN).

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Union) in the yard/shop at Lunda Construction reporting to the Shop Manager you will have the opportunity to:

• Diagnose repair and maintain heavy equipment and diesel trucks

• Perform preventative maintenance following manufacturer standards

• Repair engines hydraulic systems electrical systems HVAC brakes suspension and drivetrains

• Use diagnostic tools hand tools power tools cranes and hoists

• Complete electronic service documentation accurately and efficiently

• Maintain a clean organized and professional service truck and work area

• Work safely and follow all company and regulatory safety policies

Requirements

• Diesel or heavy equipment technical training or equivalent experience

• One (1) or more years of Heavy Equipment experience preferred

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in an active environment
