Heavy Duty Cleaner- Kitchens

The Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen facility. This role ensures that all dishes cookware and kitchen surfaces meet rigorous health and safety standards while supporting efficient kitchen operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

• Ensure proper sanitation and cleaning of dishes silverware and glassware using both manual and automated dishwashing methods in compliance with health codes.
• Thoroughly wash and sanitize pots pans and trays to maintain equipment integrity and food safety standards.
• Maintain clean and safe kitchen floors through regular sweeping and mopping preventing slip hazards and maintaining a professional environment.
• Uphold cleanliness standards for all kitchen equipment and work surfaces adhering to established sanitation protocols.
• Properly segregate and dispose of waste materials into designated receptacles in accordance with facility guidelines and environmental regulations.

Qualifications :

• Six (6) months of experience in a similar position preferred.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
• Must be knowledgeable about proper chemicals and techniques used in the course of job duties.
• Must be able to maneuver up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to perform quality control inspections on cleaned items and surfaces.
• Ability to read understand and follow complex sanitation protocols and maintain accurate cleaning documentation.
• Report equipment malfunctions maintenance needs and safety concerns to supervisory staff.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize multiple cleaning tasks and maintain workflow efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
