Position Summary
The Laborer works under the direction of the Foreman Superintendent and Project Manager and plays a vital role in supporting daily construction operations. This position performs a variety of physically demanding tasks including excavation material handling site cleanup equipment maintenance and general labor activities. All duties must be performed in accordance with AIS Infrastructure Groups safety policies procedures and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily construction activities to ensure project schedules and deadlines are achieved.
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment and report any defects or malfunctions to management.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
- Clean secure and properly store tools and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Complete and maintain required logs reports and records accurately.
- Perform fueling and basic maintenance tasks for equipment as assigned.
- Follow all company safety policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Operate hand and power tools safely to prevent injury and property damage.
- Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor including lifting carrying digging pulling walking and standing for extended periods.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to react quickly and move effectively in an active construction environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Knowledge of construction tools equipment and safe work practices.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
- Ability to utilize required protective measures when exposed to dust debris and other workplace irritants.
- Ability to manage work demands and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to climb ladders and access heavy equipment safely.
- Ability to navigate uneven rough and changing terrain.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience checking and understanding construction grades.
- Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to restricted facilities including military installations.

Pay/Compensation
This project is using Davis-Bacon wages so the base rate is $32.23/hr. Plus fringe benefits up to $22.49/hr depending on what benefits you get through AIS Infrastructure.
