- 24 months training or experience in Child Support state and/or federal rules regulations & law
- 12 months training or experience involving writing business correspondence or preparation of reports
- 100 hours training and/or experience in interviewing
- 100 hours training or 1-month experience in public relations or equivalent
- Upon employment must be eligible to obtain Notary Public for the State of Ohio in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 3111.53 and Ohio Administrative Code Section 5101:. Maintain Administrative Hearing Officer accreditation by completing 10 hours of annual administrative hearing officer training sponsored by the Ohio CSEA Directors Association for new hires; then 8 hours every year thereafter
- Must undergo a background check via the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI). Must have a car valid drivers license issued by the state of residency and required auto liability insurance.

- State Child/Abuse Neglect Central Registry Check for any state in which the applicant resided within the last five years
