Our organization is pursuing a contract to provide staffing services to the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS). This position is a potential opening and is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of all required onboarding credentialing and background screening requirements.
- Primary Location: VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System 6900 N. Pecos Road North Las Vegas NV 89086
- May be required to support additional VASNHS facilities or clinics as assigned.
The Health Technician provides patient care support patient transportation and administrative assistance within the Radiology/Imaging Department. Working closely with physicians nurses and technologists this role helps ensure safe efficient and high-quality care for Veterans.
- Transport patients safely throughout the medical center using wheelchairs stretchers and other transport equipment.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation for imaging procedures.
- Support clinical staff during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Monitor patient safety and promptly report changes in condition.
- Respond to emergencies and perform CPR when required.
- Maintain patient records process documentation and support imaging department workflows.
- Answer phones assist patients and visitors and provide general administrative support.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience in a healthcare hospital radiology or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong customer service communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work days weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to pass required VA background and credentialing requirements.
