Health Software QA Engineer

Were looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying critical software and the frameworks that support it during all stages of software development. We practice nimble fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering Project Management and QA.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer youll have the opportunity to have a direct hand in crafting the next advancements in Apples health software ecosystem. We work on the Health app a platform for Health and Fitness efforts across Apple as well as the Research App and related features and experiences that broaden the definition of what our platform can do. You will work with experienced engineers designers and medical experts to qualify and refine features that delight users as well as form a solid technical foundation for future this position you will need to be self-directed creative and comfortable with change and ambiguity. Strong technical and interpersonal skills are all essential. Youll leverage AI capabilities alongside deep QA expertise to develop and advance tooling and testing approaches continuing to move the needle on what modern health software quality looks like.

Functional testing of Health Software features on Apples OS platforms often across concurrent release vectorsnExecution of automated test scripts and analysis of their results alongside focused creative manual testingnDesign and implementation of test plans and test casesnRisk analysis cross-functional testing coordination and integration testing across the systemnMaintain a qualitative high level understanding of your areas of responsibilitynInvestigation and debugging on Unix based systems to triage difficult problems and work towards resolutionsnApply AI capabilities in conjunction with established testing methodologies to develop and improve internal QA tooling and testing practices

7 years of experience working in Software Quality Assurance on iOS or similarnIndependent thinker with the ability to proactively triage investigate and debug difficult technical and UX problems autonomously as well as collaborativelynExcellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams management and other organizations within ApplenPassion for quality assurance in software including developing extending and maintaining test plans methodologies as well as automation librariesnBachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent experience
