Health Services Administrator (HSA)

Position Overview:

The Manageris responsible fordeveloping implementing and overseeing all safety environmental and occupational health programs within a large detention facility. This role ensures compliance with federal state and local regulations including OSHA EPA NFPA and Maryland safety standards. The EHS Manager leads safety inspections emergency preparedness activities hazardousmaterials management and lifesafety system oversight to ensure a safe and compliant environment for staff contractors and position includes 24/7 coverage and may include overnight shifts evenings weekends and holiday coverage.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Regulatory Compliance & Safety Management
• • Ensure full compliance withfederal state and local safety and environmental regulations including OSHA EPA NFPA andMarylandcorrectional standards.
• • Develop implement andmaintainthe facilitys Environmental Health and Safety Program.
• • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
• • Maintain all required permits certifications and regulatory documentation.
• Safety Data Sheets (SDS) & Hazardous Materials Management
• • Maintain an uptodateSafety Data Sheet (SDS)library for all chemicals and hazardous materials used within the facility.
• • Ensure proper storage labeling handling and disposal of hazardous materialsin accordance withOSHA and EPA requirements.
• • Train staff on chemical safety PPE use and emergency response procedures.
• • Oversee hazardousmaterials spill response and containment procedures.

Required Qualifications & Core Competencies:

• Bachelors degree in occupational safety Environmental Health Industrial Hygiene or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum5 years of experiencein EHS safety management corrections industrial safety or facility operations.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in a correctional or detention environment.
• Experience with emergency management or incident command systems (ICS/NIMS).

• Anovaeon operates 24 hours/365 days and requires the flexibility to work additional hours nights weekends and holidays

• Internal background check to the satisfaction of contract requirements.
• If applicable Child Abuse/ Neglect Report (CAN) or child protective services check with no adverse findings.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods while conducting data entry and interviews
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during facility operations (up to 8-12 hours per shift)
• Ability to lift carry and move supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend stoop reach and perform repetitive motions
• Capability to work in varied environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor temperature variations)
• Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations throughout the facility
• Visual acuity for detailed computer work and document review
• Auditory ability to conduct interviews and monitor facility for safety concerns

Work Environment:

• Fully onsite position within an ICE processing residential facility in Louisiana
• Work schedules include 24/7 coverage and may include shiftsovernight eveningsweekendsand holidays.
• Fast-paced operational environment requiring attention to detail and professionalism
