How youll contribute
A Health Information Management Coordinator who excels in this role:

• Manages transcription and digital voice recognition services including preparing scanning reviewing and AFIing hybrid medical records for analysis of documentation accuracy and completeness and assists in coordinating coverage for HIM functions and processes.
• Serves as the MModal VR (Voice Recognition) HIM Representative.
• Oversees transcription-related account corrections within the MModal Fluency system at all HighPoint facilities daily including the Hold Q and Rejection Lists.
• Utilizes the MModal Fluency system as needed.
• Resolves practitioner report issues in a timely manner.
• Assists with contacting physicians regarding delinquent reports.
• Assists in coordinating coverage for HIM functions and processes.
• Analyzes medical records for chart completion deficiencies in accordance with regulatory requirements and medical staff rules and regulations.
• Ensures deficiencies are assigned to the appropriate medical staff member and that data is entered for tracking and monitoring purposes.
• Reviews documentation and updates or clears deficiencies as appropriate.
• Answers telephone calls and assists visitors including but not limited to physicians patients and family members while maintaining confidentiality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What were looking for
Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent Required.
• Additional Coursework in Medical Transcription Medical Terminology and Anatomy & Physiology Preferred.

Licenses:

• RHIT RHIA and/or CMT accreditation - Preferred

Skills & Experience:

• Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
