Health Document Support Associate Transcription Temporary

Job Summary
- Transcribes dictation and formats reports according to established guidelines. Verifies patient information for accuracy and completeness.
- Recognizes and evaluates inconsistencies and discrepancies and appropriately revises or clarifies without altering the meaning of the dictation or changing the dictators style.
- Maintains appropriate production and quality standards as defined by department policy and procedure.
- Prints and distributes work per procedure according to locations where typed.
- Operates and maintains transcription computer equipment software dictation equipment photocopies fax machine and Hospital Information System in an effective skillful efficient and safe manner.
- Communicates and collaborates with other members of the team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Communicates unusual circumstances with possible risk factors to the manager.
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities One to two years medical transcription experience or educational equivalent in medical transcription program. Required
- CRT- Certified Medical Transcript (CMT) -preferred
