Health and Safety Professional

HF Sinclair in El Dorado KS is seeking a self-driven Safety & Industrial Hygiene Professional to help strengthen our safety performance and build long-term capability within our this role you will partner with Operations Maintenance Projects and leadership to identify risks implement effective safeguards and support a proactive safety culture rooted in Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) principle

Five years experience working in a refinery or related oil and gas industry field are required. Hands-on IH experience (sampling exposure assessment monitoring equipment). Strong understanding of OSHA 1910 and refinery safety requirements.

The Health & Safety Specialist must demonstrate the following skills: Collaborative behaviors self-motivation interpersonal and open communication skills. Positive attitude and willingness to support the Health Safety and Emergency Response team. Demonstrate calmness and courage in emergency events. This position is expected to demonstrate a high level of honesty integrity and follow the chain of command in the performance of their duties. 5 years experience in Plant Production Maintenance TA Projects Safety or associated Technical Field. May lead and direct the work of others from time-to-time.

Office based field based and with travel up to 30% of the time by land or air is required. Petroleum refinery and out-of-door environments including but not limited to chemicals pressure vessels tanks and rotating equipment fumes or airborne particles and loud noises and vibrations. Required to work in all temperatures including outdoors and confined spaces. Subject to varying road and weather conditions.
