Job Summary

Must be fluent in two or more languages including one that supports the needs of the program and the direct supervision of the Program Director the Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a multicultural comprehensive early childhood education program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality services to children and families served by the Head Start Early Head Start State Child Development and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Programs. The Area Manager plays a key role in maintaining program integrity compliance and excellence across all service areas with a focus on meeting the unique needs of low-income and migrant :Bachelors Degree in Child Development Early Childhood Education or a closely related field6 semester units in Administration and 2 in Adult SupervisionMinimum five years of preschool teaching experience including two years of staff supervisionChild Development Site Supervisor Permit required; must obtain Program Director Permit within six months of employmentStrong knowledge of bilingual/multicultural education child development and federal/state regulationsExcellent communication leadership and organizational skillsMust have valid California driver license a currently DMV driving report and proof of an Area Manager you will:Supervises Center Supervisors FCC Coordinators and Home Base compliance with Head Start State licensing and CAPSLO with program leadership and specialists across service hiring training evaluation and documentation for staff credentials permits and licensing in budget development for State and Head Start program earnings and fiscal reporting systems and supports audit and coordinates staff training and Staff Development Plan and supports educational compliance with continuing education and licensing annual educational plan for in Parent Policy Council and ensures parent parent advocacy at all site visits and reviews lesson plans and child facility standards and supports maintenance enrollment and supports CACFP staff and parent training annual self-assessment and grant note this job advertisement is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
