Position Summary

The Head Golf Coach is responsible for leading and developing a positive competitive golf program for high school boys and girls in Ogden that promotes skill development sportsmanship academic success and character while supporting the mission of the school and athletic department.

Essential Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct safe organized and effective practices and competitions.
• Teach golf fundamentals strategy sportsmanship and course etiquette.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect accountability and teamwork.
• Promote the academic personal and athletic development of student-athletes.
• Communicate effectively with athletes parents administration and assistant coaches.
• Manage equipment uniforms budgets and other program needs.
• Ensure compliance with all district conference and state athletic association rules and policies.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices competitions and team travel.
• Promote and grow the golf program through positive community relationships and youth engagement.
• Complete all required district trainings and attend coaches meetings and professional development.

Qualifications

• Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Coaching Endorsement.
• Knowledge of the game of golf and coaching fundamentals.
• Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
