Job Summary

Position Summary
Franklin Pierce University invites applications for the position of Head Coach for the Womens Softball program. This is a full-time role responsible for leading all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division II program including recruiting player development program administration and student-athlete success.
The Head Coach will provide leadership that aligns with the Universitys mission supports student-athlete academic achievement and promotes a positive team culture.
  • Oversee all aspects of the softball program including:
    • Practice planning and game preparation
    • Recruitment and retention of student-athletes
    • Player development and performance evaluation
  • Manage program operations:
    • Budget planning and financial oversight
    • Scheduling and travel coordination
    • Equipment and facility management
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA conference and University rules and regulations
  • Monitor and support student-athletes academic progress and personal development
  • Foster a positive inclusive and high-performance team culture
  • Represent the University and athletic program in a professional manner on campus and externally
  • Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred
  • Prior collegiate coaching and recruiting experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational leadership and communication skills
  • Commitment to academic excellence and holistic student-athlete development
  • Ability to manage budgets and oversee program operations effectively
