Position Summary
Franklin Pierce University invites applications for the position of Head Coach for the Womens Softball program. This is a full-time role responsible for leading all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division II program including recruiting player development program administration and student-athlete success.The Head Coach will provide leadership that aligns with the Universitys mission supports student-athlete academic achievement and promotes a positive team culture.
- Oversee all aspects of the softball program including:
- Practice planning and game preparation
- Recruitment and retention of student-athletes
- Player development and performance evaluation
- Manage program operations:
- Budget planning and financial oversight
- Scheduling and travel coordination
- Equipment and facility management
- Ensure compliance with NCAA conference and University rules and regulations
- Monitor and support student-athletes academic progress and personal development
- Foster a positive inclusive and high-performance team culture
- Represent the University and athletic program in a professional manner on campus and externally
- Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred
- Prior collegiate coaching and recruiting experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to academic excellence and holistic student-athlete development
- Ability to manage budgets and oversee program operations effectively
