This role is all about making systems that have never been made before. Working with cross-functional engineering teams to define new prototype systems design electronics that implement them build them and validate them. This role requires an engineer who is familiar with a full development cycle who thrives when distilling clarity from uncertainty and who can coordinate effectively across organizations some international. You will be expected lead electrical engineering initiatives by example drawing upon your previous experience and adapting to the unique needs of the program. As appropriate you will be expected to manage individuals and guide their work as well as their growth.

Design and validate high-performance analog/mixed signal circuits that interface with state of the art optical components and meet high level system requirementsnImplement a variety of PCBs and flexes that integrate multiple analog and digital circuits into prototype systemsnIdentify and analyze system tradeoffs of implementation strategies including PCB functionality partitioning approach to testing and validation flexibility vs. size/powernPlan electrical engineering work with other leads to define milestones then guide and focus team members to deliver on timenFacilitate clear efficient communication within the electrical engineering team and cross-functionally to keep stakeholders in syncnDirectly manage individual contributors as appropriate

BS degree in EE or related fieldnExperience designing analog and digital circuitsnExperience with various schematic capture tools such as Eagle Altium or CadencenExperience taking system through a full cycle architecture design fab bringup debug characterizationnExperience with standard lab equipment (e.g. multimeters oscilloscopes spectrum analyzers)

10 years of industry experience in electrical engineeringnFamiliarity with systems that include sensitive analog/mixed-signal circuits FPGAs and embedded microcontrollersnExperience with circuit simulation tools such as Hspice LTspice or SpectrenSkilled with PCB layout on complex multi-layer boardsnExperience working with multiple cross-functional teams (e.g. software mechanical optical) to balance design tradeoffsnExperience with supporting factory builds and scaling from hand-built prototypes to 1000s of unitsnExposure to various system modeling and simulation tools such as ANSYS Verilog A/MS Simulink COMSOLnAbility to work effectively in a team environment
