Job Description Summary:
The Senior Hardware Thermal Analysis Engineer develops novel solutions to customer driven problems including ruggedized miniature electro-mechanical systems systems for harsh environments (e.g. high-g high temperature high vibration) dynamic mechanisms and autonomous systems.This role will support the development of advanced satellite components and platforms advanced electronics packaging and other R&D programs pushing the bounds of what is possible. This role will work along side the design teams to predict the performance of systems in response to environmental loading (structural thermal and aerodynamic forces) and validate against test results to ensure mission success of first-of-a-kind systems.
This role performs duties under limited supervision of program leadership.
Duties/Responsibilities
Execute comprehensive test plans test cases and test scripts to validate the performance functionality and durability of hardware products.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware products to ensure compliance with specifications requirements and quality standards.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of hardware defects and implement preventive measures for malfunctions to minimize future occurrences.
Drive solutions to complex problems with limited direction.
Contribute to requirements development propose ways forward and adapt appropriately to changes in requirements.
Perform analytical modeling and finite element analysis of complex electro-mechanical systems.
Able to provide insight and suggest design modifications based on analysis outcomes and to apply analysis techniques across a range of technical disciplines.
Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies for them.
Actively mentor less experienced engineers and provide thoughtful constructive feedback.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field. Masters Degree preferred.
Experience
Requires 5-7 years of Engineering experience with Bachelors Degree. 3-5 years of Engineering experience with Masters Degree.

$82300.00 - $220000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreements approved rates by location and role.
