This position provides essential support to maintenance personnel ensures the efficiency and cleanliness of the hangar and contributes to maintaining an overall safe work DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: MAINTENANCE ASSISTANCE (80% of job):Caters and de-caters LAVs and GALLEYs to and from Back-Shop loads and transports aircraft life vests from old seats to new assist with aircraft spotting assistance for mechanics and Quality Control (QC) personnel through various maintenance cleaning tasks on engine cowl wheels and other relevant components as needed for maintenance and safety effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they for accurately clocking into FLOOR (20% of job):Gathers any items needed from other locations and pick-up ladders carts tools and any items needed at the request of the off units to temporary staging with Supply Chain Logistics (SCL) for housekeeping of the hangar floor including disposal of scrap metal scrap wood carboard and other refuse emptying hangar floor trash sweeping entryways and helping with emergency spill and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walk and sweep in hangar -monthly inspection of all chemical cabinets and disposal of expired out alodine tank lead of any blood borne pathogen or pest control worktables for serviceable condition and routes unserviceable tables out for sanding rooms and removes accumulated sanding debris from all chemicals clecos rags bottle jacks and shoring to their proper up and stows extension cords air hoses and lights when not in AND EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Labor experience highly in Aviation or MRO EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to sit stand and walk; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may be required to stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds using proper lifting full base pay range for this position is $20.77 $24.00 hourly not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience skills and education as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge.
