Hagerstown Maintenance Janitor

Position overview:Under general direction performs custodial and general maintenance services by keeping warehouse and offices in clean and orderly condition. Performs heavy cleaning and sanitizing duties on floors tables and all touch Duties and Responsibilities:Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor and work as a team with good communication to and disinfect all areas of warehouse including but not limited to cafeteria lockers bathrooms out refrigerators floors by sweeping mopping scrubbing shampooing and/or vacuuming. May need to strip seal finish and polish and supply trash from offices and building daily ensuring that trash cans are empty and walls windows glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners sponges and furniture walls machines and to follow instructions to safely mix water and detergents or hazardous chemicals in containers to prepare cleaning supervisor concerning the need for major up arrange and remove decorations tables chairs ladders and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as company barbeques or move and adjust office furniture as ice and snow from pedestrian walkway and parking lot including shoveling and salt company grounds free of litter and debris. Wipe down tables compliance with all company policies and procedures including OSHA policiesAble to carry out other cleaning duties not listed :Some janitorial experience the ability to follow instructionPhysically able to lift bend stoop climb and to effectively communicate with coworkers andAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines and standard accepted practicesPhysical Requirements:Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standardsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
