Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator for the Internal Medicine Residency at Northside Hospital Gwinnett acts as a central member of the residency leadership team. Working closely with the Program Director and Graduate Medical Education (GME) administration this role manages the day-to-day operations strategic goals and regulatory compliance of the ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment & Onboarding
  1. Program Operations & Resident Support
  • Maintain accurate records for residents including duty hours tracking procedure logs and rotation schedules.
  • Coordinate the distribution and tracking of evaluations for residents faculty and rotations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among trainees faculty and clinical partners.
Qualifications

REQUIRED:
1. Bachelors degree with demonstrated knowledge and experience in an academic medical education setting

2. Minimum two years experience in providing oversight and coordination of programs related to healthcare and/or medical staff

3. Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and orally with hospital and medical staff

4. Strong analytical and organization skills

5. Ability to work independently coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and meet required deadlines.

PREFERRED:
1. Previous experience working in GME.

2. Must have an interest in medical education and the desire to work in a health care setting.
