Job Type: Full-Time

About Firecrawl

Firecrawl is the easiest way to turn the web into data AI agents can use. One API call converts any URL into clean LLM-ready markdown or structured data - the boring-hard problem everyone building with LLMs eventually hits solved.

We hit 8 figures in ARR in year one and more than doubled it in year two. We have 150 GitHub stars and developers agents and category-defining AI companies build on us every day. Growth like this is rare and were just getting started.

Were a small team punching far above our weight. Everyone here owns a real piece of the product and company end to end and runs it themselves - no hiding behind process or headcount.

This is a place for people who want to work at the frontier: an AI company building the infrastructure other AI companies run on not one bolting AI onto an existing product. We move fast go deep and are building the tools superintelligence will rely on to gather data from the web.

What Youll Do

  • Own the growth surfaces end to end: signup activation onboarding and conversion

  • Instrument the funnel run experiments and ship the changes that move real metrics

  • Build full-stack from the frontend a developer first touches to the backend that powers it

  • Treat conversion and activation as your number you own it measure it and move it

  • Work close to the data form hypotheses test them and iterate fast on what works

What Were Looking For

  • Youre a strong full-stack engineer whos worked on growth or PLG products

  • Youve personally owned a conversion activation or funnel metric and moved it not just shipped features someone else measured

  • You think like a scientist: hypothesis experiment measure iterate and youve run real A/B tests you can talk about including what you learned when they didnt go as planned

  • Bonus if youve shipped in-product growth surfaces at a dev-tools or SaaS company (onboarding activation upgrade flows in-product guidance) or built conversion pages that measurably moved signup not just static pages that shipped

  • Bonus for experience with our stack ( React Tailwind TypeScript Vercel PostgreSQL and the Anthropic Claude API) or for having built with LLMs in production: prompt engineering tool use inference pipelines

  • Youve worked on developer-facing products SDKs playgrounds docs surfaces APIs and understand how developers actually adopt tools

  • You have a track record of staying with your work long enough to see it through (we look for real tenure not a trail of short stints)

  • You move fast and close the loop - youd rather ship measure and iterate than perfect on paper

What Were NOT Looking For

  • A growth marketer this is an engineering role that writes production code

  • A backend engineer with no interest in the product surface or the metrics

  • Someone whos only ever shipped features without owning an outcome

  • A pattern of short stints we want someone who commits

A Note On Pace

We operate at an absurd level of urgency because the window for what were building wont stay open forever. If that excites you keep reading. If it doesnt no hard feelings but this role probably isnt for you.

Interview Process

Application Review Send us your work and a quick note on why this excites you. Show us tools automations or systems youve built that people actually used. We care about what youve built not where you went to school.

Intro Chat (25 min) A quick conversation to get to know each other before we go deep. Well talk about what youve been working on what drew you to Firecrawl and what youre looking for in your next role. Time for your questions too.

Technical Chat (45 min) Well dig into a real problem from our world: how youd build a tool or automation to scale a support workflow or ship a fix that kills a class of tickets. Come ready to think out loud; we care how you reason not whether you memorized the answer.

Paid Work Trial (1-2 weeks) Build a real scoped tool or fix with the team paid at a contractor rate. Its the truest signal for both sides: you see what building at Firecrawl actually feels like and we see how you ship. Remote-friendly and well flex around your current commitments.

Decision We move fast after the trial.
