We are looking to hire aCoordinator Group Services. The Coordinator Group Services is responsible for communicating with guests Travel Advisors incentive companies internal relevant departments and is essential to understand the needs and arrange group and wedding venues onboard events and dining requests. Planning and scheduling group events weddings special events in-port functions and dining arrangements are key responsibilities. Additionally collecting and processing payments for prepaid group events and weddings special events or in-port functions are part of the role. Managing and maintaining GO & OEM group dining allocation for all ships is crucial. Support for the onboard Events & Guest Services Supervisor with inquiries related to groups weddings special events or in-port functions is also provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with guests Travel Advisors incentive companies and relevant shoreside & shipboard departments.

  • Manages and maintains GO & OEM group dining allocation for all ships.

  • Supports the shipboard Events & Guest Services Supervisor with any inquiries pertaining to groups weddings or special events.

  • Collects and processes payments for prepaid group events Weddings special events or in-port functions.

  • Supports both shoreside and shipboard teams with the planning and coordination of in-port functions & events.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Scope: Coordinates and plans the execution of group & wedding related onboard activities and amenities in conjunction with the relevant shoreside and shipboard stakeholders. Among the challenges encountered it could be anything from last minute unexpected venue or event related changes to logistical challenges caused by external or internal factors.

  • Problem solving: Handle complex booking issues and customer inquiries requiring quick and effective resolution strategies.

  • Impact: Directly influences customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within the group services discipline.

  • Leadership: Works collaboratively in a diverse team environment to complete assignments by specified deadlines

  • Knowledge: Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.

  • Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Abilities: Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance / Capacity to be punctual and meet deadlines / Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team / Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions and tasks.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications (if preferred but not required list as such):

  • Guest centric with strong customer service skills.
  • Great sense of ownership service recovery.
  • Creative efficient and effective bottom line operator.
  • Strong planning skills with an innovative hands-on practical approach.
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice for operational support.

Minimum Experience (if preferred but not required list as such):

  • Customer Service / Event Planning - minimum 1 year AND/OR
  • Hospitality minimum 1 year OR
  • Sales minimum 1 year

Travel: Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Physical Demands:

This position is classified as in-office. As an in-office role it requires employees to work from a designated Princess office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
