This role coordinates and directs maintenance staff manages work orders and ensures the timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Major Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesOversee maintenance of production machinery including welders laser cutters hydraulic presses conveyors and heavy fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal and schedule maintenance technicians to support 24/7 manufacturing operations ensuring critical-path equipment receives priority and troubleshoot breakdowns involving mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical systems common in heavy equipment and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs using tools such as vibration analysis thermography and lubrication schedules to extend equipment regular inspections and audits of production lines tooling cranes and materialhandling systems to identify wear safety risks or performance maintenance activities with production managers and engineering teams to support design changes process improvements and equipment parts inventory and procurement ensuring critical spares for largescale machinery are stocked to reduce repair lead strict adherence to safety standards including lockout/tagout equipment guarding rigging safety and compliance with OSHA and develop maintenance staff on troubleshooting techniques equipment-specific procedures and safe work practices relevant to heavy industrial detailed maintenance documentation including work orders equipment history downtime reports and compliance records for audits and continuous improvement duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferably in manufacturing or heavy equipment knowledge of mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems including troubleshooting and leading or supervising maintenance teams technicians or skilled trade to read and interpret technical documents such as schematics blueprints equipment manuals and maintenance knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards. Lockout/tagout procedures and industrial equipment safety QualificationsBachelors degree in STEM field such as Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Technology or a related certifications such as PLC programming industrial automation or maintenance reliability (e.g. CMRP CMRT)Experience with lean manufacturing continuous improvement or reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) Skills Abilities & CompetenciesComfortable in an in-person office environmentTechnical competence is a plusMust be customer service oriented flexibleand have a high energy levelMust have excellent follow-through skillsMust have a professional polished and sophisticateddemeanorand be comfortable in most social settingsMust be open to domestictravel (less than 15%)Desire and proven ability to learn and growWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word Excel PowerPoint Teams and Microsoft ProjectJob ConditionsBoth office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory to noise and temperature RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
