Job Summary

To effectively integrate corporate support personnel & programs to meet the objectives of the company and the group. Responsible for the development maintenance and enforcement of the Safety Policy & procedures as required for the group. Responsible to interface and support the Project management & Safety teams on group projects and to provide safety leadership as required to these teams.

Key Responsibilities:

with development of the safety training aspects of our FLS and craft training programs.
with preparation of project specific Safety Management Plans.
with project set up and interface with local clinics to make sure there is alignment with injury management philosophy and awareness of light duty programs and injury management.
with implementation of behavioral based safety programs.
and maintain divisional safety records.
and maintain safety metrics report for status of site inspections non-conformance etc.
interface with owner and key partners regarding coordination of safety programs.
in activities to support the company and groups safety related strategic planning efforts.
on site audits to ensure compliance with company group and project safety requirements.
leadership and Management of OSHA and MSHA related interface as needed for the projects.
leadership with management of Subcontractor and JV safety programs.
RFQ packages for safety related items that would add extra costs to a proposal and prepare a summary of these items for sales engineers and/or estimators.
provide leadership and follow-through regarding Injury/ case management for the division.

Minimum Job Requirements:

1.15 years in a leadership position managing self-perform safety programs in construction.
Degree preferred but not required.
required CSP preferred.
MSHA First-aid/ CPR-AED instructor capabilities required desired: NCCER Safety Trainer.
use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Physical Requirements:

to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes gloves safety glasses hearing protection hardhat vest etc.)
reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
stoop kneel or bend on an occasional basis.
use telephone computer system email or other electronic devices to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
will climb stairs ladders etc.
to use hands to grasp lift handle carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
interact with people frequently during a shift/workday.
lift push or pull objects up to 50Ibs on an occasional basis.
sit stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.
work various shifts including swing night and weekend.
